About Intsel 2
Intsel Steel East and friends of Maspeth Squash are back to make this year’s tournament more fun and engaging for the pros, sponsors, and visitors to our matches. Our outdoor court setting is exceptionally open and perfect for mingling and hitting with the pros, too.
The Draws will be shared with the Players and posted in April. All rounds will be self-scheduled by the players in line with a timetable from May through September. The finals event will be in September.
The winner of the men's draw will play against the winner of the women's draw in the finals. Each round this year will have money on the line - $200 to the winner of the first round, $300 to the winner of the second, … $600 to the winner of the the women’s finals and men’s finals, and $3000 to the winner of the women’s winner and men’s winner - the finals finale. The overall Intsel 2022 winner will earn $5000 in total prizes.
Total tournament prize money will be $21,000, thanks to Intsel Steel East, NY Squash, Maspeth Welding, and Friends of Maspeth Squash Sponsors - a generous group of outdoor squash fans who support squash professionals and come out to play in Maspeth. Thanks also to Queens Tourism Council and Queens NYC contributors for support.
