“Up Or Down” Makes The World Go Round

Let, no let, yes let, let point, no point, yes point…

"I don't agree. I see things differently. What should I do?" says Sir Robert to himself during a game of squash.

Squash helps me explore varied competitve situations in very close quarters. The real point of playing squash is the playing, not the arguing.

At Maspeth Squash, we are proud of creating an outdoor squash culture where top-ranked touring squash pros, coaches, and club pros can come out and compete, in competitive situations for money, and enjoy the playing more than the arguing.

We have hosted and photographed over 200 competitive professional squash exhibition matches during our Intsel Steel Outdoor Pro Invitational Tournaments these past four years. All of the matches except the finals have been played without referees. Hours of competition, without incident, hysteria, or melodrama. Pure squash, eye on the ball. Start, middle, ending. All have seemed like great experiences, with just a few exceptions.

I was so delighted recently when Haley Mendez and Hannah Craig met in their Intsel Steel Tournament match and showed us how to advance the game when there are differences of opinion.
